Under the direction of Coaches Bryan Scott and Coach Zoram Dean, the Crater High School Boys Basketball program was happy to offer a four-day basketball camp this past week for students in grades 5th-8th. The camp was divided into two sessions and had over 30 total players attend. The camp offered players an opportunity to further cultivate their love for the game of basketball while working hard to improve and develop their basketball skills. Players who attended received top-level coaching and assistance not only from Crater’s coaches but from current Crater boys’ basketball players as well as other members of the Crater High School Boys’ Basketball Family. Throughout the camp, players worked on ball handling, passing, shooting, attacking the rim, defensive-minded teamwork, as well as various other aspects of their game.
The Crater Boys Basketball program would like to thank our partners in the community for their assistance and support with this camp. Scenic Middle School was kind enough to host the camp, as the High School gym has recently entered a period of closure for renovations. Furthermore, a special thank you to all of our guest coaches who attended and helped these young athletes to reach new heights in their basketball development. Lastly, we’d like to thank Rich at MasterMinded Media for creating our camp t-shirts. On the back of each shirt was one word; Family. Family is at the core of Crater Basketball. We support one another, compete for one another, and consider every player on the court with us to be an essential member of our family unit. Those who attended the camp joined the growing Crater Basketball Family, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have them.
We look forward to future camps, workouts, and community events with our Crater Family. Be sure to follow us on Facebook to stay up to date on all things related to Crater Basketball, and be sure to like and share our page with those throughout our community. What an exciting time to be a Comet!
